Contest Rules Updated February 14, 2011
The following are the rules for the two different types of contests run on the Pupshot.com website.
Monthly "Most Liked" Prize
All photos from a given month are eligible to win this prize. On the first day of a new month we will reward the user who has the "Most Liked" photo uploaded during the previous month. For example if you uploaded a photo in February, and more users "liked" your photo than any other photo uploaded that month, on the first of March you will be contacted about the prize.
If the user does not respond to us within 10 days, they will no longer be eligible to win the prize and we will contact the user with the second place photo and give them the prize. The second place user will have five days to respond to us, if they do not respond, no prize will be give out that month.
The prize will vary by month, so do not expect to win the same prize as the previous month.
Periodic Named/Themed/Sponsored Contests
From time to time, Pupshot will have a named, themed, or sponsored contest. All users are eligible, but you must manually enter a photo into the contest for consideration. You can enter a photo you've already uploaded, or you will be given a choice to enter a photo into the current contest while you're uploading a new photo. Only one photo of each dog may be entered into a particular contest. If you enter a second photo it will override the first photo you entered and you will lose any votes that photo had received. Each user of the site will get one vote which they can cast on the photo they think should win the prize. You cannot vote on your own dog, and you can change your vote as many times as you'd like before the contest finishes.
The photo with the most votes at the end of the contest period will be rewarded with the prize. Pupshot will contact the winning user the day after the contests completion. If the user does not respond within ten (10) days, the prize will be passed on to the second place winner. If the second place winner does not respond within (5) days of our contact the prize will not go to anyone.
Foulplay and Disqualification
To be eligble for any of the above contests you agree to not conduct and acts of foulplay to ensure your winning of the contest. This includes but is not limited to, creating dummy or ghost accounts to cast more votes.
Pupshot reserves the right to disqualify any user from any contest for any reason it sees fit without warning.
In the case of a disqualification, Pupshot will consider the second place user to be the winner, and the third place user to be the second. They will be contacted and prizes given out just as mentioned above.
